What are the new concepts for Sickle Cell Disease ?

 For All Sickle Cell types, the differentiation in ICD-10, as it was in ICD-9 is between:

- WITH Crisis 

or,

- WITHOUT Crisis

In ICD-10, additional concepts where added for some presentation that may also have 

- Acute chest syndrome
- Splenic sequestration

Again with the same differentiation  of

- WITH Crisis 

or,

- WITHOUT Crisis

Furthermore, as an improvement, the following can also now be captured:

- Sickle-cell trait

- Sickle-cell thalassemia

These have been previously lost data.
