VTE Documentation
In VTE, the documentation is very straight forward. The main focus in documentation will be around the acuity of the VTE (Acute vs Chronic) and the vein involved (ex: Inferior vena cava, Superior vena cava, poplitial vein etc.)
Below is a reminder about veins of the body
If you don't want to document VTE and the veins, then PREVENT IT
Remember VTE Prophylaxis !
