Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) – must identify stage
Documentation for CKD is not much changed in ICD-10 vs ICD-9. It is still based on the stage of the disease. CRI is an old term that does not accurately capture the severity of illness of patients
| Stage 1 | GFR ≥ 90 |
| Stage 2 | GFR 60 – 89 |
| Stage 3 | GFR 30 – 59 |
| Stage 4 | GFR 15 – 29 |
| Stage 5 | GFR < 15 |
Chronic Renal Insufficiency (CRI) does not really mean much and is a nonspecific term.
False - Although both with similar names and both studied kidneys, Addison's disease was discovered by Thomas Addison, a british physician born in 1793.
